Fake and Fiddly PAI.

How a wannabe UKIP MP enlisted the help of Islamophobes to attack HOPE not hate.

Between March and May last year, Robin Cook – who claimed to be a prospective parliamentary candidate (PPC) for UKIP, and was the treasurer for UKIP East Riding of Yorkshire branch – posted some racist comments on Twitter, as detailed in this article – Another UKIP Racist Uncovered. It was also covered in the Guardian’s diary.

Cook closed the Twitter account, and now claims that he was never a PPC, though if that information is untrue, he started the lie himself. His deleted Twitter profile read:-

The latest from Robin Cook MBA (@Rodaenergy). Commercial Director. UKIP PPC & Treasurer of ER constituency, Hull City supporter. loves red wine .all views are my own. East Riding of YGB, Driffield

It is archived on Facebook, and in slightly different form on favstar (top left, tiny writing).

You might have thought that this would be the end of it. Robin would slink away, rightly chastised for his bigoted views, to carry on in business and leave politics alone.

You’d be wrong. Very wrong.

You see, Robin holds a grudge against HOPE not hate the size of Yorkshire (not just the East Riding). At some point between his being exposed on May 21st 2013, and the first time I became aware of the matter in mid-September 2013, Robin Cook opened another Twitter account – @2HullandBack.

Robin Cook's Twitter account.

Robin Cook’s Twitter account.

The account was protected, but somebody sent me his tweets between 24th August 2013 and 25th November 2013, which is available to see in this archive.

I first became aware of the whole situation over the weekend of 13th-15th September 2013, when a Twitter user called @NotatallArthur started tweeting me, saying that they’d discovered my address, and were going to pay me a visit with 3 “big lads” from his rugby club. I’ve saved the whole bizarre episode here.

On the Sunday, I infiltrated a “secret” chat room belonging to a group of morons united by their Islamophobia, who identify themselves with the initials PAI (Patriots Against Islam). I did this by joining their forum as one of the PAIs who wasn’t already a member (HadithLies), and then sitting in on the chat. They later banned me when I revealed what I had done, and made their forum “invite only”.

I have archived the whole chat here.

During that chat the user “Halfa” (a pun on Arthur, and the person who ran the @NotatallArthur Twitter account) identified himself as “Robin”.

[21:41:49] Halfa : hi please call me Robin or Rob

A lot of the chat revolves around setting up a “sting” to falsely criminalise Nick Lowles of HOPE not hate, even going as far as planning to extort money and hold a PAI Chrismas do.

Some parts I didn’t understand involved a previous “sting” that they had perpetrated. I (as HadithLies) asked a couple of times, but they either ignored me or missed my questions, and I didn’t want to push it too far and arouse suspicion.

On December 10th 2013,  a new Twitter account – @SLATlefties was set up. Although it is impossible to be certain who is responsible, it bears all the hallmarks of the same people. Robin and his son Alex are known to have links to the PAI Islamophobes, and to Joshua Bonehill. Its main purpose has been to try and find out who I am, which they haven’t managed to do. They have picked a seemingly random Mancunian, and continue to harass him despite claiming to have been visited by the police.

I’ve taken to ignoring his constant baiting of myself. He has no evidence of my identity (he can’t have, it’s impossible when all they have is an old IP address), and his evidence-free nonsense has become very boring.

Over the last couple of days though, he has posted some interesting screengrabs. These are of “emails” related to the previous “sting”. The trouble is, the attempt to smear HOPE not hate was amateur and easily debunked.

This first two images show what are supposed to be emails from Simon Cressy of HOPE not hate. There is no evidence to show that they are genuine. Indeed, the use of a “live.co.uk” email address is suspicious. Going back to the “secret chat”, we can see that while planning the new “sting” Robin says

[22:27:22] Halfa : how about using the scressy@live.co.uk email address hehe

A direct admission that they used that email address previously, thus proving that the emails were faked.

Want more? This one is hilarious in its ineptness. This image purports to show “John Partridge” emailing SLATUKIP (in order to try and prove that Simon Cressy runs the anti-UKIP @SLATUKIP Twitter account). Unfortunately, while faking the email they spelled the email address wrong as “saltukip”!

fakeSALTSo there we have it. Proof that the inept PAI/UKIP morons tried to fake evidence against HOPE not hate, Simon Cressy and @SLATUKIP.
